A Tale Of ~ Three Pinots and Three Chardonnays!

Chardonnay

  2006 Michel Cheveau Macon-Fuisse
Burgundy

Regular ~ $21.95 / bottle
SALE ~ $19.99 / bottle
This hard to find gem is our new favorite Chardonnay! The small domain is located in the heart of Pouilly. Of the three, this is the cleanest expressio of the grape, with pure, vibrant fruit shining through beautiful minerality.

2006 Calera "Central Coast" Chardonnay
California

Regular ~ $16.99 / bottle
SALE ~ $14.99 / bottle
Josh Jenson left Burgundy convinced that the key to great Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is limestone. He hired a company to survey the landscape and he discovered the largest limestone deposit in California and planted vines. This Chardonnay is a little fuller than the first and has excellent structure and balance, with an intriguiing combination of ripe fruit flavors, accented with a subtle touch of oak. Finished with a glass stopper, so the wine is guaranteed not to be corked.

  2005 Macrostie "Wildcat Mountain" Chardonnay
Sonoma

Regular ~ $42.95 / bottle
SALE ~ $39.95 / bottle
This full-blown Chardonnay came exclusively from this small, hilltop vineyard. Full-bodied with complex layers of richly textured fruit. Honeydew melon, citrus and spiced apple have a huge flavor impact. This is a wine that will provide pleasure now, but will also stand up to aging.

2005 J.M. Pillot Bourgogne Rouge
"Les Grandes Terres" Burgundy

Regular ~ $29.95 / bottle
SALE ~ $26.95 / bottle
This Bourgogne Rouge (100%) Pinot Noir) is evidence that the hype surrounding the 2005 vintage is real. The wines are spectacular! Smoky, red berry aromatics and sweet, dusty tannins. Solid and loaded with ripe raspberry flavor. This is the most elegant and most focused of the Pinots. Textbook red Burgundy!

2006 Bethel Heights "Estate" Pinot Noir
Willamette Valley Oregon

Regular ~ $34.95 / bottle
SALE ~ $29.95 / bottle
Tasting this wine was like being reaquainted with an old friend. Bethel Heights has been at the forefront of sustainable agriculture in Oregen since planting the vineyards in 1977. Ripe aromas of raspberry and plum are nicely complemented by a lush palate of black cherry and boysenberry.

2005 Lucienne Pinot Noir
Santa Lucia Highlands

Regular ~ $39.95 / bottle
SALE ~ $35.95 / bottle
This is a new product of premium Pinot Noir from Monterey. The Santa Lucia Highlands have become one of the most sought-after appellations in California. This wine is bigger, fatter, richer, sweeter and more lush than the other two Pinots. This is completely on the opposite end of the spectrum!
